Explore Paihia Half Marathon & 12km

Copthorne Hotel and Resort, Tau Henare Drive, Waitangi, Paihia

Sunday 3th June 2018  8:00am – 11:00am

Explore Paihia Half Marathon & 12km

On Sunday the 3th of June 2018 (Queens Birthday Weekend) you will all start from the Copthorne Hotel in Waitangi where the Explore Paihia Half Marathon course takes you along Paihia waterfront through Waitangi and the stunning Haruru Falls bush track to the waterfalls. When you pass the Waitangi Golf course on Tau Henare Drive you are wowed by the magical views of the Bay of Islands.

With our 12km course those who do not wish to tackle the half marathon will simply head through the Haruru Falls Track around the back roads and back to the Copthorne. Both courses involve a taste of everything including some short sharp hills but we think the most beautiful and scenic courses in New Zealand if not the world.

On the start line you will be treated to an unforgettable spine tingling performance by a local Maori Cultural Group before sending the 12km groups off first. At the end every finisher will be presented with a keepsake medal to congratulate you on your efforts.

Prize giving and the after party will be from 4pm at the Alongside Bar in Paihia where podium finishers will receive their special medals and trophies with spot prizes and the major spot prize a $1000 travel voucher being drawn then too. (you have to be there to be eligible to win any prizes)

Each year competitors receive discount vouchers to use around town at cafes and restaurants, these are supported by local business’s and can be collected with bibs and timing chips from the Explore NZ office a week before race day.

Mothers Day Fun Run

Jennian Homes Mother’s Day Fun Run/Walk

Village Green, 60 Marsden Rd, Paihia

Sunday 8th May 2016 9:00am – 11:30am

Jennian Homes Mother's Day Fun Run/Walk

The nationwide Jennian Homes Mother’s Day Fun Run/Walk returns this year, offering women the chance to have fun, get active and support a worthy cause.

There’s a reason we run this event every year. Heart disease is the single biggest killer of Kiwi women, claiming the lives of over 3,000 women each year. We have partnered up with the Heart Foundation to support its Go Red for Women campaign, which aims to help stop our women dying prematurely of heart disease. The campaign asks women to band together and love their hearts.

Why not hit the streets and run, walk or have a leisurely stroll with your mum, daughter, sister or a group of girlfriends this Mother’s Day? It will be a wonderful way to start the day and you’ll be doing your bit to beat heart disease and keep more families together. So, save May 10th in your diary and let’s help save lives this Mother’s Day.
